Here's the press release we received. Below the release are the names which MoCA had collected during community outreach for the Lincoln Park Annex master plan. We will be discussing this at the next MoCA meeting, sometime in June. Seattle Parks Seeks Names for Four Parks

Seattle Parks and Recreation invites the public to submit potential names for four new parks in the West Seattle, Pike-Pine and Eastlake neighborhoods. Suggestions for names are due by Monday, June 20, 2005. Here are descriptions of the parks to be named (the park names used below are former names or working titles): "Lincoln Park Annex". Located across from the north side of Lincoln Park on Fauntleroy Way SW, the land for the park known as "Lincoln Park Annex" was purchased by the City in 1922. The 7.5-acre property remained undeveloped until 1964 when Seattle Parks and Recreation built the first phase of the tennis courts on site. After a series of landslides, the City, in the mid 1980s, built a berm and deposited thousands of cubic yards of fill. A 2002 project funded by the Pro Parks Levy built an overlook and stairs on site. In 2003, a community P-Patch was added on site. (other parks info deleted)

List of previously proposed names:

Contemplation Park
