Proposed legislation for land use code changes to define Microhousing received a Determination of Non Significance (DNS) on the SEPA review. Concern from community groups across the city led to a filing of an appeal of the DNS. Because this activity took place between regular MoCA meetings, President Deb Barker polled the MoCA board members to see if there was a majority who felt MoCA should become a party to the appeal. The vote was a majority to support, and MoCA is now a party to the appeal. More info to follow as the appeal process moves forward. The first appeal hearing will be January 7, 2014, the appeal case number is W-13-008
