Here's the news from the parade organizers, plus a preview of our MoCA attire (only 6 of these were made, show up early so you can claim one!) and we will have some extra MoCA T-shirts to wear.
Please plan on arriving about 10:45, and leave plent of time to find parking and get to the assembly area, it's very crowed near the parade start point.
The first entry departs at 11:00 am from Lander and California Ave. (Admiral Safeway and Lafayette Elementary). We will be positioned towards the back of the procession. Our gathering spot will either be along Lander adjacent to the Lafayette playground, or on the other side of California Ave. adjacent to the tennis courts at Hiawatha Park.
To find out where we, as part of the Neighborhood Groups entry, will gather, seek out the parade officials who will be stationed a the corner of California and Lander to instruct entrants to their postion in the procession. The name of our entry should be Southwest District Council, or may be under the name of Admiral Neighborhood Association (they are the ones who submitte the groups entry form).
As for getting back ot the parade start afterwards, the Metro buses return to normal routes right after the parade, so you can catch the 128 or 50 to get back to the Admiral area.
We hope you will be able to join us and be a proud wearer of the MoCA cups!
