Construction bids are opened Oct. 29 - construction will begin in December. Construction schedule will be completed in late March of early April.
MoCA has applied to SDOT for sidewalk improvements to supplement CRF funds – may be funded next year. We submitted the CRF application for 98 ft. of sidewalk along

) reported that the first phase of construction has been completed (electrical systems). Phase 2 will deal with odor control and generator. Prior plans to place the generator under the sidewalk have
been discarded. Design process for this project call for a group of local residents to review and consult on plans – volunteers are needed – contact Martha. This generator and odor control unit will be redesigned and sited in 2009, with construction in 2010. Estimates call for 18 to 20 months of construction. Watch for continuing information on MoCA and
Development at 35th and Graham:
Up to 14,000 square feet of retail space and 220 residential units will be constructed South of current branch library and clinic. The facility will be designed with a step-configuration, 3 to 4 stories above parking garages. Plans are still concerned with pedestrian access between clinic/library and retail spaces, as well as impacted traffic flow along 35th. For further information, contact Chip Marshall.

Re. WS Entrance Cleanup: Very successful with good community participation. Plans are being made to recruit volunteers for monthly cleanup projects in

Re. Kenney Redevelopment: Design review now scheduled for Oct. 23
Re. MoCA Neighborhood entry signage: Plans are still under way to locate 5 signs at arterial entry points of Morgan Junction, at approximate cost of $300 each. Donors/sponsors are being sought for this project.

Art project in Morgan Business Area. As you read above in the MoCA minutes, the City has approached us to use an art project concept in front of the new park. Here is what that looks like (although this concept was drawn for another location in the city, and would be modified for our location)
